Alitalia logo history

Alitalia is an Italian carrier. The first page of its history was opened in 1946, when Italian airlines called Aerolinee Italiane Internazionali were born. 1957 was the moment of merging with another carrier of Italy - L.A.I. (Linee Aeree Italiane). The result was the largest Italian airline under the brand name Alitalia.

Nowadays the Alitalia airplanes carry out transportations to 44 countries of the world, including flights between the continents: to the USA, Canada and Mexico. The fleet consists of 85 aircraft.

The Alitalia logo is very concise. Like many other airlines, they have decided to use the colors of the national flag - white, red and green. The capital letter A is shown without the cross line and represents the wing of the aircraft. The logo uses an oblique font, which symbolizes the dynamics, movement and desire. The font has no serifs, it is chopped, which reflects the reliability, strength and safety.

It is noteworthy that for such a long period the airline has never changed its logo.
